On Thursday 3 November 2016, the Festival of Light showcased the art work from eight venues in the Black Country involved in making paper lanterns inspired by our collections. The creative workshops explored designs taken from our street and domestic lamps where professional artists such as Creative Factory and B18 worked with schools and community groups over a period of 8 weeks. This event, was a truly magical experience where participants carried their lanterns from the main visitor reception to the heart of the Museum accompanied by Dohl drummers and poetry.
